Recently, Honolulu has been named the "Safest Big City in
America" and Honolulu
crime rates are at the lowest on record according to FBI
crime statistics. We as a
community have all done our parts to make that happen and
Franklin Don Pacarro, Jr. is
proud of the role he has played in this success.
Pacarro is a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City
and County of Honolulu
and
has been serving in the office since 1986. He has made a
career out of prosecution,
with
an unbroken record of service under three different elected
Prosecuting Attorneys.
Born
and raised in Honolulu, he graduated from the University of
Hawaii's William S.
Richardson School of Law. Pacarro knows the importance of a
safe community for our
families, raising three daughters and a son with his wife
here on Oahu.
As a
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, he worked up the ranks,
becoming a felony
prosecution supervisor, and was then appointed Chief of the
Trials Division by
Prosecuting Attorney Peter Carlisle. As chief of the largest
division in the office, Pacarro
supervises 27 of the attorneys in the department. Attorneys
under his watch handle over
half
of the felony cases that are prosecuted in Honolulu.
Pacarro is a seasoned trial attorney and has successfully
prosecuted over 36 homicide
cases securing twenty-one life sentences among others.
Although he is now a supervisor,
he
continues to personally handle cases because he believes a
leader should do the same
work
as the people he leads.
The
top elected law enforcement officer in Honolulu should have
a top law enforcement
record. The best man for the job has been doing the job for
23 years; elect Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney Franklin Don Pacarro, Jr. for
Prosecuting Attorney and let us
continue to keep Honolulu safe.
